About Us

The Galilee Missionary Baptist Church was organized in the year of 1889 by the late Rev. T. M. Allen, Rev. Rainwaters, Deacon Andy Thorton and others. At that time, the church was located about one mile below the Marietta Campground. After some 15 or 20 years, the church moved to their second facility. That building was built in the early 1920's. In our first 100 years as Galilee Baptist Church, we have experienced many changes, but through our faith in God and His ability to sustain us, we move forward.

Today, under the capable leadership of Rev. Donald B. Crampton, Galilee Missionary Baptist Church will continue to grow and follow God's Word.

25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was he

There is an old song that says God Specializes.  He can do what no one else has the power to do!!

In Mark 5 we see a woman who suffered for 12 years with an infirmity that seem to be incurable. She spent all her money

seeing doctors, yet she got no better, ind fact the word tells us that she got worse.  But she heard that Jesus was in town

and she decided to go, push through the crowd in an effect to just touch Jesus' garment.

.

When she touched Jesus' garment, she was healed immediately.

Jesus did what no earthly doctors could do and unlike human doctors there is nothing too hard for God.

If we are struggling and it seems like we cannot find help!!

Remember: What is impossible with man, is possible with God.
