John 11:45-48

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees and told them what things Jesus had done.

47 Then gathered the chief priests and the Pharisees a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

48 If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans shall come and take away both our place and n

nation.

Accepting Christ requires believing his works and his word.

John 11 is the account of Jesus raising Lazarus from the grave. Although Jesus had done man

There were gathered the mourners and friends. Jesus had delayed coming to Lazarus' in order ot allow

Lazarus's death.  His purpose was to Glorify God and that those present would come to assept Him as

the Messiah.

There were two reactions to the miracles:

Many believed, they accepted Jesus as Savior they came to the knowledge of the true

Christ

​

Other, the Pharisees and Sadducees, denied Him, Although His works and word is true,

they chose to try and protect their worldly power and selfish desires.

​

Today many hear the word of God and see His mighty works in the lives of others, Yet decide that they would rather

have the power and prestige.

Yet still others learn to accept Christ as Savior, and secure life beyond this world

Will you accept Him today?
