James 5:16

Confess your trespasses to one another and pray for one another that you be healed. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

 When we pray, we must pray believing that God has the power to answer our prayers.  All our prayer must be done by faith.

James tells us of the purpose for prayers, to ask God for healing and strength when suffering, 

To invite others to pray for us and to pray with us

To confess our faults and flaws for the forgiveness of sin

Finally, to benefit from the power of God when he  answers our prayers

​Take so time to pray, for in praying according to the will of God

will produce Godlike results.
